Terms of use
The licence Raml KQL is released under, what it does and does not promise, and your responsibilities when using it.
Last updated: 6 October 2026.
Raml KQL is free, open-source software released under the MIT licence. By installing or using it you agree to the following, in addition to that licence.
No warranty
The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, as the MIT licence states. The authors are not liable for any damage, data loss or consequences of using it. Check results that matter to a decision: Raml KQL merges the answers of many services, and a workspace that failed or timed out is shown as such, not silently filled in.
Use it only on data you may access
Raml KQL acts with your identity and sees what you can see. You are responsible for having the right to query the workspaces and tenants you add, and for complying with your organization's policies, your agreements with customers, and applicable law. Features such as aliased names and the audit log help, but they don't replace those responsibilities.
Third-party services and extensions
The app works with Microsoft services (sign-in, Azure and Log Analytics), GitHub (updates) and any git hosts or extensions you add. Their own terms and privacy statements apply to them. Extensions and query packs written by others are used at your own risk: only install ones you trust. Packages not marked as verified have not been reviewed by the project.
Trademarks
Raml KQL is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Microsoft. "Microsoft", "Azure", "Defender", "Sentinel" and "Visual Studio Code" are trademarks of Microsoft.
Privacy
How data is handled is described in the privacy policy.
